Work on scales and chords. It will help train your fingers for speed (and obviously notes and chords) and will also build calluses.

‘das ding’ is a book, full of evergreens. some with easy, some with more difficult chords… i learned playing the guitar this way.

Learn to play by ear, and don’t give up. Your fingers will stop hurting eventually. Also, learn the blues scale, you’ll need it.
